On November 13-16, 2018, the Dean of the College of Engineering-Dr. Lokman A. Abdulkareem and Dr. Ezideen Ali from Dohuk polytechnic University headed to Dresden/ Germany to participate in the (16th Multiphase Flow Conference & Short Course) at Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden – Rossendorf. The conference invited and accepted research papers, proposals, abstracts, experiments and application results of hundreds of scientists and researchers from many different countries around the world to present them to a worldwide audience. The goal of the workshop was to bring together experimental and numerical practitioners and to foster discussion and exchange of knowledge. The Short Course addressed the interests of engineers, chemists, physicists, and technicians active in research and design, who want to be informed on modern design methods and tools for multiphase flows. The Short Course focused on experimental techniques including laboratory practices, and multi-scale modeling approaches.
